My Minecraft home:

View from the front gate...

The cozy living room and fireplace:

Living room opens up to the dining room:

The dining room, probably the least proud of this, as there is no good way to make a realistic table just yet...

The kitchen, complete with sink, refrigeration, and recessed lighting...

another view of the kitchen:

moving on to the second floor, guest room number 1:

and guest room number 2:

The second floor half bath:

The second floor balcony, overlooking the bay and lighthouse (with working, pulsing redstone beacon):

and the master bedroom:

The third floor lounge

Here is the basement work/storage center, with redstone and track testing area, incinerator, and the entrance to "The Catacombs." We'll come back here in a bit...

This is the water garden, it looks great at night too, when all the torches light the trees from underneath...

This is a walkway on the side of the house, both sides are very similar

The greenhouse

The back gate, and stairway leading to the tree house fort (I don't know why but I really like this view)

The inside of the tree house

The outside of the tree house, it overhangs the gates, and is perfect for sniping mobs, or target paractice on the livestock!

on our way back to the house now, here is a view of the back of the house and deck:

Now, back inside and through "The Catacombs," here is my newly built Underground Arboretum. Some of the saplings are still growing, and I need to get a little natural light so grass will grow.

And here is the obsidian farm. It can do cobble stone too, but I have plenty of that via my own mining and spelunking....

The catacombs are also connected to my original base, seen here behind the waterfall:

and the inside of the original base:

Here is a shot of the strip mine, built from the hollowed out remains of a spider dungeon that I found on my second day just under the surface, I just dug down in the same shape as the room. Found 5 different cave systems and hit bedrock, spanning out in all 4 directions at the bottom.

Now onto the lighthouse... (with a quick look at the front yard fountain)

Here are the docks adjacent to it:

This is the living quarters at the top

and the "Lava Lamp..."

above the lava lamp is the redstone system that makes the beacon on top of the lighthouse pulse (thank you Mine-pedia for the in depth guide!)

The redstone beacon:

This is my next addition to the world, my unfinished train station:

The hard part has already been done, I know people like to build neat roller coasters that twist and turn, but I went a different route in striving for realism, so I made a track that doesn't turn or change grade ever until about 5 blocks before it ends on the coast a good 5 minute trip away, cutting through mountains and over basins and valleys. This is the view from the train station right now:

So that's the tour. I plan on finishing the rail system, then adding a few destinations so it serves a purpose. I'll add pics, maybe some video, and eventually the save file once I'm completely satisfied. Link to cartographer file
